Polling rate test
How often does your mouse report?
Move your mouse quickly in circles inside the box. The test counts how often the mouse sends its position.
What polling rate should I use?
1000 Hz is the sweet spot for most players. 4000 and 8000 Hz can feel smoother on high refresh-rate monitors but use more CPU and battery.
Why is my reading lower than the box says?
Move faster and in bigger circles; a still or slow mouse sends fewer reports. Some browsers and power-saving modes also cap it.
